Dr. Wejdan Deebani is an Assistant Professor in the Mathematics Department at Sciences and Art College in Rabigh, King AbdulAziz University. She
is a member of the graduate studies committee of the department. She received her Bachelor of Science degree with honor in statistics/ computer sciences at King AbdulAziz University. She completed her graduate degrees from the USA. She pursued her Master of Science degree with honor in decision technology at the University of North Texas (UNT). She also earned another Master of Science degree in Statistics at Southern Methodist University (SMU) as well as Master of Science degree in Operation Research at Florida Institute of Technology (FIT). In 2019, she pursued her Doctor of Philosophy in Operation Research at FIT.
While her graduate studies, Dr. Wejdan was awarded as the Information Technology and Decision Science Honor Student at UNT, Outstanding International Graduate Student in the College of Business at UNT, and Outstanding Graduate Student in the Mathematics Department at FIT. Also, in recognition of her high scholastic achievement, she has been selected for membership in the honor societies of Phi Kappa Phi and Beta Gamma Sigma. She is also a member of the American Mathematical Society (AMS). She participated in several conferences in the USA such as International Conference on Mathematics of Data Science and International Symposium on Artificial Intelligence and Mathematics (ISAIM).

Research Interests
Dr. Wejdan is interested on studying the associations between variables and investigating several linear/nonlinear correlation metrics. Her interests also lie on developing a more robust correlation measure that can be generally used with a variety of relationship types under different noise conditions. She is currently analyzing DNA copy numbers obtained from patients with non-small cell lung cancer to identify associated genes with lung cancer.
